As an essential worker, you may see your business as recession-proof, but that doesn’t mean you’re immune to change. In the last three years, field service work has been turned on its head and many contractors are still scrambling to keep up with the changes. Successful contractors are realizing even essential industries need to find ways to keep ahead of the curve in order to thrive in uncertain economic times.
So here’s the big question:
Is marketing worth the investment as a contractor?
Tune in to hear CJ Kortes, a previous trade professional and current CEO and partner at The SEO Contractor, share his unique perspective. During this podcast, we’ll also discuss practical tips to help small business owners create efficiencies, generate more business, and modernize their business for long-term success.
CJ Kortes is the CEO and Partner of The SEO Contractor, a digital marketing company founded in 2011 with his brother John Kortes. Like most small to medium-sized business owners, CJ started as a trade professional turned businessman. Learning through experience, The SEO Contractor was started during a recession with $1,200 and the love of making websites. 12 years later, their company has a solid monthly book of recurring business, zero debt, growing profit margins, and cash flow. CJ believes in the “Think Big, Act Small” concept by author Jason Jennings. He also loves playing guitar, writing music and screenplays, and has published a children’s book called Moose, Goose, and Finley’s Caboose: Savannah Treasure.
With nearly 20 years of business development experience, Ryan is no stranger to the amount of work it takes to grow a successful business. He’s a firm believer that hard work, building strong relationships, and using technology to give time and flexibility back to hardworking business owners are three critical pieces to business success. In his free time, you can find Ryan outdoors on a snowmobile, golfing, boating with his wife and teenage son, or watching football.
